How does the mesh ring work? To crochet in the round, you first need a mesh ring. For this you put a loop out of the working thread, into which you then crochet single stitches. I have linked a great video of double pointed needles for crocheting with a thread ring, that will surely help you.

I always make the mesh ring (or thread ring) a little differently, but if you've never crocheted with a mesh ring, the video is definitely worth gold so that you can get an idea of ​​it.
